Website Design

The website design training program was a great experience for each of us that had attended. We learned skills that could improve us as webservants in the future, with programs that we never thought existed and would be easy for us to work with such as Wordpress where we could create a simple blog for everyone to read, and the Animoto where we could upload pictures, add music, and create graphics that are absolutely amazing to bring a project to life. The Photoshop program was another software that was introduced in the training where we could edit pictures and make them look real......could fool an eye like illusions in magic tricks that the professionals use. Youtube was another great website that any webservant uses so we have decided to create our own demo video as an example of what we might get into in the future. Joomla, a program from which this website was created, was confusting at first then eventually became easy and we had lots of fun with this one. I found out that many of the top professional website builders use this program.

Web design was really easy at first but then we got in deep and it made us think twice about learning. However, with the help of JOEL, things seemed pretty simple at the end, if we just take time to practice.....just like they say, "If you want to be better at something, you have to do it"...."Practice makes perfect." Very true. The fun thing about this training was the atmosphere of everybody working together as one to come up with ideas that we could share with one another, creating a full picture of what we saw as opportunities. This training also taught us about the skill of photojournaling and what to look for in pictures and composition, as well as the various angles from which a web designer can tell the story.

This is the best training any of us has ever attended to create a website, produce a video, and then post the video on the web. This class will soon be offered at The Learning Center and I would highly recommend it to anyone who would like to keep up to date with technology or to just simply share a message with the world.
