Intersections, Inc. is currently hiring for the following positions to support the American Samoa Students Talking About Real Solutions (STARS), funded by the U.S. Administration for Children and Families – Family and Youth Services Bureau’s Sexual Risk Avoidance Education Program. The announcement for each position listed below opens on 10/16/2020 and will remain open for 10 business days OR until the first 10 applications have been received, whichever occurs first. 1) PROJECT MANAGER
Salary starting at $38,000 per annum and depending on experience.
Summary of Duties and Qualification: Serves as a full time project manager for STARS and provides daily project management and administration; serves as contact person between federal funder, national and local partners, coordinates all planning and professional development meetings and training; monitors activities and program implementation to ensure they are being conducted according to project timelines; responsible for promotion and completion of project goals and objectives; oversees project staff, facilitators, and peer leaders. Must have a minimum of a Bachelors degree and/or substantial experience in project management and/or youth work and demonstrated writing and speaking skills in both English and Samoan language. Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and able to travel.
2) HEALTH EDUCATORS
Salary starting at $20,000 per annum and depending on experience.
Summary of Duties and Qualification: Health Educators are responsible for increasing awareness in the community and providing sexual risk avoidance education to adolescents and their parents; teaching the evidence-based Heritage Keepers program and ensure that curriculum lessons are conducted with fidelity; ensure that program goal and learning objectives are achieved; responsible for recruitment and training of participants and scheduling of activities. Must have a minimum of a Bachelors degree and/or substantial experience in health and/or youth work and demonstrated writing and speaking skills in both English and Samoan language. Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and able to travel. Certification and Training will be provided!
3) ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Salary starting at $17,000 per annum and depending on experience
Summary of Duties and Qualification: Performs clerical support duties to project staff and administrative duties associated with STARS project; responsible for data collection/entry/reporting and works closely with project evaluator and project staff. Must have a minimum of an Associates degree and substantial experience in business administration and demonstrated writing and speaking skills in both English and Samoan language. Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and able to travel.
