Intersections is a not-for profit community organization with the mission of making lasting positive differences in the lives of children and families in American Samoa. We seek to empower them to break the cycle of poverty in order to improve the physical, social, and spiritual aspects of family life. We help to strengthen our youth by providing them with opportunities for social growth, educational development and learning new skills, as well as embracing their cultural heritage. We believe that each generation bears the responsibility to build a brighter future for their children.
Our programs revolve around positive youth development, youth engagement and contribution, leadership skills through community services, and asset building. We have received numerous federal grants and local grants and we’ve used them to create long-term programs in our community. Today, many of those programs are in the schools and youth groups.
